On the 19th of June 2024, Ideal Vision proudly inaugurated its new facility located in the Bayan Lepas Industrial Zone. The ceremony, which commenced in the morning, was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Lee Yoeu Chek, Head of Manufacturing Development of InvestPenang, Ms. Lim Wei Chen, COO of PSDC, and Mr. Yeoh Seng Hooi, Honourary Secretary General of Small and Medium Enterprises Association (SAMENTA).

The event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by speeches from our CEO, Edmund Yuen, and esteemed guests Ms. Lim Wei Chen and Mr. Yeoh Seng Hooi. The new facility was then officially launched, marking a significant milestone in Ideal Vision’s journey. Attendees were treated to a guided tour of the expansive 27,000 square feet space, which is 3.5 times larger than our previous facility. This tour included a viewing of our production area with product presentations.

The new facility is designed to support large-scale manufacturing operations with cutting-edge technology and streamlined production processes. It features a sophisticated machine vision lab equipped with the latest technologies for comprehensive customer samples evaluation. The spacious R&D area is dedicated to new product development, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation. Additionally, the facility includes a modern workspace and a recreational area for employees to unwind, promoting a healthy work-life balance with various entertainment options and activities.

In his speech, our CEO, Edmund Yuen, emphasized the significance of the new facility: “The new facility represents more than just the expansion of our physical space; it’s a testament to our collective hard work, commitment to excellence, and our vision for a brighter, more innovative future.” Ms. Lim of PSDC highlighted Ideal Vision’s role in Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan 2030, stating, “Ideal Vision is clearly an excellent and proven example of local talent going up the value chain.” Mr. Yeoh of SAMENTA congratulated the team, saying, “Edmund and his team have truly become visionaries as part of his team, to take this company to the next level of growth.”

The new facility is set to have a profound impact on our operations and growth, increasing production capacity by 300% to meet the rising global demand for our AOI machines. This expansion is also poised to benefit the local community by creating over 200 new positions for highly skilled engineers and software programmers within the next three years.
